Sometimes, when I'm feeling uninspired, I seek inspiration online. However, it was only after watching Ponyo, by Studio Ghibli, that I truly felt motivated to draw based on the composition of this particular image, using it solely as a reference.
Unfortunately I don't know who references it, but I hope you enjoy it!

The most challenging aspect of this illustration was undoubtedly capturing the magic that surrounds Ponyo. I still don't believe I fully captured her essence, but I'm confident that someday I will.
